Otherwise you need to just set the radio on a table with a clear view of the sky to receive the satelite signals. This the only way to be able to ware my Airwave radio and get decent reception. This way I can do my outside work and Listen to all the Detroit Tigers games.
While they work terrifically with the MY-Fi, and have a built-in antenna, they surely are not worth $46 by themselves. These headphones came with the wonderful Delphi My-Fi XM radio receiver kit. Hey look, you can't buy the My-Fi anymore.
Overall though, this is a very good product if you have a MyFi or similar product. Distortion is also not too bad, even at high volume levels. The lows are good but not great, ditto for the highs. Would probably have given this product 5 stars if they would be more comfortable and had slightly better sound. I have had much more comfortable headphones in the past but the convenience of having the XM antennae built into the headphones is well worth the minor comfort issues. As for the sound quality, it is about what you would expect from a headphone of this type and price range. Nice touch putting a volume control in the right side headphone.
While it was great to have a built-in antenna for the MyFi this unit is way to large and clumsy. I would have love one that had earbuds type speakers rather than the large ear covering ones. The sound is good and reception fine but just too large and old fashion type headset.
much better than stock head phones with better reciption highly recomended
